Virginia Brown
Sent by William of Normandy to quell a Saxon rebellion, Luc Louvat believed his mission would be quickly accomplished. No Saxon lord had any hope of repelling an army of seasoned Norman knights. But Louvat was in for a shock. His knights are held at bay by a ferocious foe. Even more of a shock follows when he finally meets his wily adversary face-to face: this is no aging Saxon nobleman but an exquisite princess with a fragile appearance, and a will as steely as the sword she wields. Suddenly Luc finds he's waging a dangerous new war... aimed at the defenses of a fierce Saxon beauty who threatens to conquer his warrior's heart.

When she was eight years old, a Russian gypsy prophesied that one day Sasha would meet a half-lion, half-eagle who would restore all she had once had. So when Sasha sees a handsome knight in the forest and he carries a shield depicting the half-lion, half-eagle form of a griffyn, she believes him to be the hero of prophecy.
Rhys ap Griffyn is on his way back to Wales as the rightful lord of Glenlyon when a beautiful woman suddenly appears in front of him. While Rhys is immediately enchanted with her, his men are wary. They believe her to be a faery able to cast spells upon them and spirit them away to the kingdom of the faeries forever.
Sasha is not a faery, but she does have the gift of being able to read minds. It is not a gift without limits, she learns, as she is unable to read the mind of the strong warrior who intrigues her. Seeking a way to bend him to her will, she strikes a deal with Rhys: she will spend a night in his bed if he will perform a labor for her. He accepts.
Yet his night with her is only a vague dream when he awakes the next morning. Can it be that he does not recall the night of sensual pleasure? When his men discover that Sasha drugged them, he realizes that she had drugged him as well. Angry, he no longer trusts her. Convinced she is a spy working for the man who now controls his lands and castle, he takes her with him on his journey to regain his home in Wales.
Sasha yearns for Rhys to love her, yet she is determined he keep his word and fight for her legacy. Then Sasha's young companion tells her to consider the prophecy and recall all that she has lost in the past. What does she want most?
When Sasha is captured by the enemy during a tourney in the castle, Rhys must also make a choice: Sasha or Glenlyon.

Memphis tour guide Harley Jean Davidson should have known the day was going along too well. After all, she had the rest of the day off to lie in the May sunshine and think of nothing more complicated than whether to drink white wine or iced tea. But someone has abducted her parents' dog, King, and sent a ransom letter to her father. Yogi swears he doesn't know what they want in return, and Harley's mother  Diva is confident that her spirit guides will see that all turns out well if Harley will only go next door and ask the new neighbor what he did with the dog.
Harley would rather have a root canal without Novacain than talk to her parents' neighbor. Bruno Jett may be drop-dead gorgeous, but he has a dark, dangerous look to him that she'd rather avoid.
But her parents' pleas override her common sense, and she embarks on a mission to find the dog and gets a lot more than she wants when she finds a body as well. It doesn't help that Bruno Jett is mixed up in all of it.
Then the police suspect her father of murder, and Harley tries to exonerate him. No good deed goes unpunished, for she quickly finds herself being pursued by someone who's killed once and won't hesitate to do so again....
22nd-Jan-2009 06:41 pm - Deadly Design
Virginia Brown
A few days before, Harley Jean Davidson had barely escaped being killed by jewelry thieves. The last thing she wants is to get mixed up in any other kind of murder investigation. Yet here she is, letting her Aunt Darcy talk her into finding out if her silent business partner is really smuggling illegal artifacts into her interior design shop. Although Harley resists, the $5,000 payment her aunt promises prompts a change of heart. Besides, she reasons, what could be easier than a little stealthy snooping for a big pay-off?
When she finds a body hanging from elk antlers in the design shop storeroom, Harley belatedly remembers that nothing in her life is ever easy. To make it worse, she isn't completely convinced that her aunt may not be responsible. Her childhood friend Bobby Baroni, now a Memphis homicide detective, considers Darcy a suspect. And Mike Morgan, an undercover cop who helps heat up Harley's hot summer nights, wants her to stay out of it and let the police handle the investigation. Maybe he's right.
But the next thing she knows, Harley stumbles across another body, finds herself being stalked by a possible killer, assaulted by farm animals, and rescued by a temperamental cat. To top it all off, Aunt Darcy is arrested for murder. Just when it seems things can't get any worse, Harley comes face to face with the killer....
22nd-Jan-2009 06:40 pm - Evil Elvis
Virginia Brown

Harley Jean Davidson tries to avoid Elvis week. Her job as a Memphis tour bus driver gets hectic enough without a busload of devoted fans singing Elvis songs all the way to Graceland. It isn't that she doesn't like Elvis. She does. After all, her father is not only a huge fan, but he dresses up as Elvis every August and enters the Super Bowl of Elvis impersonators. But this year an Elvis is targeting other Elvis impersonators for death.
Even though Harley doesn't want to be involved in the murders, she soon realizes the killer is stalking her, too. If that isn't bad enough, undercover cop Mike Morgan puts their hot relationship on hold, her best friend cons her into fostering an exotic new pet, her Siamese cat disappears, and her great-grandmother is off her medication and shooting up the town.
Can it get any worse? Oh yeah. Just when she thinks the murders are solved, Harley comes a little too close to an early grave.
